About the Farm
Background
Located in the west Plum Creek valley of Sedalia, this small, family-owned farm began cultivating vegetables in 2004. By 2016, they officially formed their microfarm, focusing on providing fresh, quality produce to the local community through various channels including a Farmship Program, the Castle Rock Farmers Market, local restaurants, and other CSA cooperatives.
Practices
Certified Naturally Grown, the farm emphasizes cultivating healthy, nutrient-rich vegetables and herbs without the use of synthetic chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Their approach ensures that produce is not only fresh but also flavorful and nutrient-dense, addressing the common issues found in industrially produced food.
The Rest
The farm offers a Farmship Membership Program that connects members with their produce as well as other locally grown items from Colorado producers. They also provide a free recipe guide to help customers make the most of their fresh veggies. The farm's produce is available at the Castle Rock Farmers Market and through direct delivery.
