About the Farm
Background
Spring Forth Farm is the dream of Megan and Jonathan Leiss, who began their journey in 2014 when they found property in Hurdle Mills, NC. Over the course of three years, they built their own house and established the farm. Known for their outstanding spring flowers, they cater to local florists and designers, offering wholesale flowers each spring.
Practices
Committed to ecologically-friendly farming practices, Spring Forth Farm employs no-till methods to cultivate their flowers. Their philosophy centers around sustainable land care, ensuring that the farm not only provides for their family but also produces surplus vegetables to share with others.
The Rest
Spring Forth Farm offers weekly deliveries of seasonal arrangements to businesses in the Durham-Chapel Hill area and participates in the Piedmont Wholesale Flowers cooperative. They are proud members of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association.
