About the Farm

Background

Celebrating 16 years of operation, the farm has established itself as a provider of the safest and healthiest foods through its CSA program. Known for its heritage fruits and vegetables, the farm has become a community hub where farm family members and friends can share in the bounty of its permaculture gardens and native food forests.

Practices

The farm employs NO HARM FARMing principles, focusing on permaculture and native food forests. Heritage fruits and vegetables such as PawPaws, Persimmons, Northern Pecans, Muscadine, and Concord Grapes are grown alongside Brandywine Tomatoes, Bulls Horn Peppers, Deer tongue lettuce, and Blue Hubbard or Candy Roaster Squash. Animals, including Scottish Highland Cattle, goats, poultry, and waterfowl, are raised as naturally as possible, contributing to healthier livestock and food products. The farm offers 'beyond organic' grass-fed beef and goat meat, emphasizing natural and humane animal husbandry.

The Rest

Visitors can arrange farm tours to see the living conditions and diets of the animals. The farm also breeds and trains English Shepherds, known as Scotch Farm Collies, placing pups with strict requirements. Additionally, the farm offers fresh eggs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese for eating or hatching. An internship program is available, with positions filled on an annual basis. Orders are being taken for 25lb variety packs of Highland beef.
