About the Farm

Background

In 2008, the family moved from the suburbs to the countryside, bringing along dogs, chickens, ducks, and pheasants. They began with a small vegetable garden and participated in a local farmers market for two years. Over time, the garden expanded to 1.25 acres, and the farm now includes sheep, goats, llamas, cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pheasants, and deer. The journey has been a learning experience, filled with trials and tribulations.

Practices

The farm adheres to all-natural and organic principles, ensuring that vegetables are chemical and pesticide-free. Animals are fed hay or fresh green grass when in pastures.

The Rest

The farm offers a CSA program delivering boxes of vegetables and a dozen eggs every other week from the end of May through mid-January. A half share for on-farm pickup costs $895, with a payment plan available. Additionally, the farm sells prepackaged beef products such as burgers, hotdogs, and roasts. They are finishing a 30x100 hoophouse to extend the availability of fresh vegetables into the fall and early winter months. The mission is to provide high-quality, naturally grown foods while educating customers about the benefits of eating locally grown produce.
