About the Farm
Background
Located in Cedar Grove, MD, Two Peas Farm began its journey with an inaugural Fall CSA season from September through November 2013.
Practices
The farm builds soil structure using compost and cover crops during rest periods, practices Integrated Pest Management (IPM) by providing beneficial insect areas, using row covers as physical barriers, and rotating crop families within the fields. Organic approved sprays are used only when necessary to control large infestations, and weeds are managed through hoeing, mulching, or hand picking.
The Rest
The Fall CSA features a variety of fall greens such as head lettuce, kale, chard, and spinach, as well as root vegetables like turnips, beets, and radishes, along with other surprises. Interested individuals can find the latest updates on the farm's website and Facebook pages.
