About the Farm

Background

Anderson Acres is a 200-acre estate located in Kent, Connecticut, with land in agricultural use since the early 1900s. After being tended by three generations of the Anderson family, the farm was purchased by the Saltz family in 2011.

Practices

Guided by Michelle and Ron Saltz, the farm grows flowers organically, emphasizing environmental sustainability by striving to give more to the earth than they take. The team embraces both innovation and tradition, nurturing healthy plants and positive farming practices. They believe in the interconnectedness of all beings and the earth, fostering a culture of kindness, care, and community.

The Rest

The farm offers a CSA, local wholesale, and a farm stand. Their philosophy, 'Seed, Design & Celebration,' reflects their commitment to environmental stewardship and the joy of sharing nature's gifts. The team includes Cameron Caruso (Farm Manager), Anna Richardson (Assistant Farm Manager), Candace Bowes (Head Designer), and Elyssa Houser (Production Manager).
