About the Farm
Background
Since 1994, New Mexico Harvest has connected farmers to the community, evolving from Beneficial Farms CSA to its current name in early 2020. Expanding its network statewide, it became one of the first certified Harmonized GAP+ Food Hubs in 2021, supplying locally grown food to schools, senior centers, and food banks.
Practices
New Mexico Harvest works exclusively with farms that employ chemical-free and sustainable farming methods. The CSA emphasizes stewardship of the land, ensuring that food is grown in harmony with nature. They assist farms in developing safe growing practices and finding larger markets for their harvests, adhering to the highest standards of food safety.
The Rest
New Mexico Harvest partners with nearly 80 different farms, ranchers, cheese makers, and bakers, offering benefits such as marketing support, fair pricing, and free produce pickup. The CSA provides a variety of membership options, including traditional and customized shares, and operates a virtual farmer’s market. Their efforts support local economies and foster community relationships.
