About the Farm
Background
Case Custom Meats, owned and operated by Paul and Beth Case along with their two children, was established in May 2011 on 540 acres of farmland and pasture near Hawk Springs, Wyoming. The farm transitioned from hay to row crops to support their livestock. The family is deeply involved in the farm's daily operations and their children participate in local 4-H activities, showing swine, cattle, and chickens.
Practices
The farm raises its cattle, hogs, and lambs with a focus on non-GMO feed and without the use of hormone implants or added hormones. Cattle are born in the spring, weaned in the fall, and finished on a diet of hay and corn before processing. Hogs are born in large birthing pens with deep straw, weaned at 30 days, and raised in outdoor pens with automatic waterers and shelters. Lambs are purchased post-weaning, raised in rotational grazing pens, and supplemented with ground corn and minerals. All animals are processed at USDA-inspected facilities, ensuring quality and safety.
The Rest
Case Custom Meats offers beef by the whole, half, or quarter, and hogs and lambs by the whole or half. They also sell individual packages of ground beef and pork sausage, with prices including processing and delivery. The farm is in the process of becoming a Certified Humane Producer by the American Humane Association. Customers can choose specific processing options for their meat, including package size and sausage varieties.
