About the Farm
Background
Established in 2014, Earth's Echo Farm has built a reputation for producing high-quality, nutrient-dense food. Known for their commitment to ecological responsibility, the farm has grown to offer a variety of products including pasture-raised chickens, eggs, and grass-fed/grass-finished beef. Since 2018, they have expanded their offerings to include bulk orders of beef.
Practices
Earth's Echo Farm employs a pasture-based model inspired by natural ecosystems. Chickens are raised in mobile shelters moved daily, ensuring they receive a varied omnivorous diet and Non-GMO Project verified feed that is pesticide- and herbicide-free. The layers live in mobile coops and are regularly moved to fresh pasture. Cattle are managed to mimic the natural migration patterns of wild grazing animals, moved daily to new pasture without the use of growth hormones, antibiotics, or grain, ensuring they are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. The farm processes chickens on-site to minimize stress and ensure a respectful end.
The Rest
Earth's Echo Farm products can be found at South of the James Farmers Market in Richmond, Colonial Beach Farmers Market, Kickshaws Downtown Market in Fredericksburg, Harvest Market in Spotsylvania, and several local restaurants including Spencer Devon Brewing, Cork & Table, and The Tides Inn Market. The farm is located along the shores of the Rappahannock River, just four miles east of downtown Fredericksburg.
