About the Farm
Background
Mount View Farm is a family-run operation where the children are actively involved in the local 4H Livestock club, daily herd care, and working at farmers markets. The farm is known for its premium beef, which is dry-aged for enhanced flavor and tenderness.
Practices
The farm raises small batch herds of Black Angus cattle that are pastured in their natural environment without added hormones or steroids. The cattle are fed non-GMO grain and quality hay grown on the farm. They reach their end weight naturally, never being penned or finished. All beef is USDA inspected, vacuum-sealed, and flash-frozen to maintain freshness.
The Rest
Visitors are encouraged to call ahead to plan a visit to the on-farm store, where they can meet the family and learn more about the farm's operations.
