About the Farm
Background
Originally based in Southern California, this family farm is in the process of relocating to Blackstone, Virginia. Known for serving customers across Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and parts of San Diego Counties, the farm has built a reputation for providing sustainably grown meats through their meat CSA program.
Practices
The farm emphasizes humane treatment and environmentally sound practices. Chickens are raised on pasture with access to grass, dirt, and bugs, and are processed on the farm to avoid stressful transportation. Beef cattle, specifically Angus and Angus cross steers and heifers, are raised purely on pasture without grain, hormones, or antibiotics, and the grass they consume is free from herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers. Dorper sheep, known for their mild flavor, are also pasture-raised without supplementary grain. All feed is organic and non-GMO.
The Rest
The farm runs a meat CSA program offering chicken, beef, and lamb at reasonable prices. Customers are encouraged to support local farming while enjoying high-quality meat. Communication is primarily through Heather's personal cell phone, and messages are returned as soon as possible.
