Norz Hill Farm & Market, LLC

Norz Hill Farm & Market has been a cornerstone of the Hillsborough, NJ community since 1920, when Rich Sr.'s grandparents began the farm. Rich Sr. took over in 1962 at the age of 16, and the farm has since expanded under the stewardship of the Norz family, including Rich Jr. who joined after high school in 1987. Known for their high-type, show-winning dairy cows, the farm has placed over 40 bulls in A.I. and marketed embryos and cattle worldwide. The farm also gained fame for its 'Cow Advertising' business, with their cows appearing in various media, including NBC News and Saturday Night Live.

Norz Hill Farm & Market is dedicated to sustainable farming practices, maintaining 1200 acres of owned and rented land. The farm is part of the New Jersey Farmland Preservation Program, ensuring long-term agricultural use. They grow a variety of crops including corn, soybeans, alfalfa, timothy hay, rye, pumpkins, sweet corn, and tomatoes. The farm also raises dairy replacement heifers and a variety of animals such as horses, sheep, goats, llamas, and zonkeys. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in their careful land management and diverse agricultural activities.

Norz Hill Farm & Market offers a range of activities and products for visitors. Their roadside market sells Jersey Fresh vegetables during summer and fall. In the fall, the farm hosts educational and family-friendly activities like pumpkin picking, hayrides, farm tours, a corn maze, and the haunted trail 'Scare Farm'. The farm's produce stand offers a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. Rich Jr. was named New Jersey Outstanding Young Farmer in 2010 and one of four National Outstanding Young Farmers by the US Jaycees. The farm is deeply rooted in the community, supported by a large family, dedicated employees, and loyal neighbors.
