About the Farm
Background
For the 2015 growing season, the farm offered a Medicinal and Culinary Herb Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program featuring 60 different herbs. Each year, new herbs are added to the program, enhancing the diversity and richness of the offerings.
Practices
The farm grows without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Their methods emphasize ecological balance and sustainability, ensuring that the herbs and flowers are cultivated in harmony with the environment.
The Rest
In addition to providing fresh, local herbs, the farm offers significant herbal and medicine-making information, including a short class at the first CSA pickup. Customers can build and use their own herbal apothecaries, receiving guidance from well-known herbalists such as Rosemary Gladstar and local expert Lupo Passero. The farm's CSA program empowers individuals with holistic health knowledge and access to superior quality herbs for various uses.
