About the Farm
Background
Dominick and Jeanette Siniscalchi have been raising livestock in Delaware County, New York since 1988. Dominick’s farming roots trace back to Italy, where his mother raised goats, made cheese, and grew hazelnuts. The farm's primary focus has always been on raising grassfed Black Angus cattle, with a 'birth to table' beef program. Over the years, they have expanded to include dairy goats and laying hens.
Practices
The farm employs rotational grazing for their ruminants, followed by mobile solar-powered chicken coops to disrupt pest cycles and allow chickens to roam freely. They have built an on-farm slaughter facility with the help of an AWA Good Husbandry Grant, ensuring that cattle remain on the farm until slaughter. All livestock, including cattle, goats, and chickens, are Animal Welfare Approved, adhering to high-welfare practices that align with the farm's mission to raise animals as nature intended.
The Rest
Eggs are available for purchase directly from the farm, and customers are encouraged to call or email for availability. The farm is also developing a certified kitchen to sell homemade goat cheese, further expanding their offerings.
